• It’s interesting to me how we look at people and assume that they don’t struggle with the things we all struggle with. Most of the people I know and love enjoy hearing a great bible study and we look at those people who give that message and think that we want to be like them and that they must have less struggles than we do or they handle them better.
• And that might be true. What I think though, needs to be said, is that if you have a beating heart and are wearing skin, you have struggles. They are most likely to occur in your marriage, parenting, and how you relate with your blood family.
• Know this please, please note this: being spiritual doesn't keep you from having struggles and when your marriage, children, workplace, etc… becomes difficult, please, please, please, tell someone that you trust. Think about this, what if everyone you know each day, week, month, year after year, had no struggles, difficulties, or problems, what would we do? How could we read the books of the bible like 1 Corinthians, Jonah, Job, Genesis, Galatians, and on and on…
• Please know this, if you are, were, or will be going through something, your pastor, your spouse, your child, and your best friend are doing the same things/according to 1 Corinthians 10;13/13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind/and letting someone else know, enables them to see how prayer, faith, and the Word of God actually helps us.
• If you’re always fine, always faithful, always ready to give a bible verse to explain what you’re going through, how can you become humble, usable, or teachable? Thanks be to God for down-to-earth brothers and sisters who are not exempt from pain, struggle, and the ability to be a perfect spouse, pastor, sibling, and employee!
• We need you, we love you, in fact, we are exactly the same!
